Snow Blanket Covers Bulgaria's Pamporovo Ski Resort Snow started falling above Bulgaria's winter resort of Pamporovo on Tuesday morning covering the ground with at least two-centimeter thick blanket. The New Lift in Chepelare Will Start Operating in December A helicopter completes the installation of the new lift in Chepelare The lift will renew the now existing old and slow cable car, which is almost 30 years old. The modern high speed quad will start operating by mid December. The new lift has a capacity for 2000 persons per hour and tourists from Chepelare will be able to reach “Mechi Chal” peak for just 9 minutes.

Bansko Alpine Ski FIS Cup Bansko is ready for the Alpine Ski FIS World Cup Bansko is now ready for the most important event in the sports calendar for 2008/ 2009 in Bulgaria - Alpine Ski FIS World Cup for wine which will take place on the slopes under the Todorka peak. The preparation for the winter season in Bansko will be completed on 16th November 2008 and the official opening of the season is planned for 29th November.

Bulgarian factory produces the world famous ski brand “ATOMIC” Finish Atomic bought the ski factory in Chepelare for 5 mil EUR. 10 mil more will be invested in total modernization of the factory facilities and machines.
