Pamporovo JSC will invest around 5 million Euro for the preparation of the new ski season, informed Marian Beliakov, executive director of the company. The new high speed quad is estimated to cost 3,8 million Euro. The company plans additional lighting system for the ski slopes in the resort, as well as improvement of the system for artificial snow. Borovets is the only winter centre in Bulgaria offering a playground for beach sports. The sand court with dimensions 22 x11 m offers excellent conditions for practicing beach volleyball, beach football or even beach tennis. The equipment is placed right in front of the Rila hotel ans can be used for free by all guests of the resort.

The Gondola lift in Bansko will operate every day from 08:00 to 16:30 (last upload) until September 15th. The top station of the lift will take you to the beautiful Banderishka meadow, offering plenty of attractions. This summer the resort centre offers unique playground, soccer field, Dry-slope (artificial summer ski slope) with ski and snowboard instructors and equipment rental, tubing and class restaurant offering a variety of dishes and drinks.

Following the tradition the culture calendar of Bansko offers various entertaining events during the summer season. The central square in the town will host the 16th edition of Bansko Jazz Festival from 03-08 August 2013. More than 25 jazz formations will perform during the event.
Throughout the festival week jazz is also played during the day on various smaller stages in the large resort complexes and restaurants.
