The official opening of the ski season in Chepelare will be marked on December 20th. The lift at Mechi Chal will operate for free at the opening day. The program for the stray of the winter season includes show concerts at the Olympic square in the centre of the town.

Borovets ski resort officially opened the new ski season on December 14th, 2013. The forthcoming ski season will offer intensive sport events. The resort will host a round of the European alpine ski cup for men on February 15^th and 16^th, 2014. The best alpine skiers in the world will gather in Borovets for one last training session before the Winter Olympics in Sochi. The competition will be held at the Popangelov ski slope.

Today is the official opening of ski season 2014 in Bansko and Borovets.
The three-time Olympic and two-time world ski champion Alberto Tomba will announce the start of the ski season in Bansko. The Italian genius is the special guest at the official opening of the ski season in Bansko. Alberto Tomba will ski down the ski slope named after him in 2003 – Alberto Tomba.

Joint groups of Bulgarian, Greek and Romanian patrols will be on duty during the winter ski season in Bansko. This was announced by the Mayor of Bansko – Geroge Ikonomov. The groups will be patrolling in the resort until mid March.

The mayor also announced that the summer season in Bansko was very successful and expects even better results during the winter.

Sax to the Max party will mark the official opening of the ski season in Bansko on December 14, 2013. The party will e held at the Happy End Apres ski bar & club in the resort. Lovely Laura and DJ Rae will take care of the party mood during the night of the opening.
